We will give Sarnia another hour before move on to Saginaw (he had a full 24 hours to make his pick). Once Sarnia logs back on, he can make his pick provided the players he wants is still available.

Ok. Sarnia has now missed two picks. We're going to be picking two prospects now for him, so if we do need to find a new owner, the new GM isn't behind the 8 ball. Everyone has different drafting methods, especially for prospects, but hopefully we can come to a consensus quickly.
I propose Leon Draistl and Derick Pouliot. My reasoning is that not only are they bluechip prospects, they are almost NHL ready (Pouliot is already playing). The closer the prospect appears to be playing in the NHL, the better he is I feel than a guy with a ton of potential (and maybe a higher ceiling), but still in junior.

I would say those are reasonable draft selections. Anyone could make a case to select another guy depending on their personal preferences and gut feelings. Ultimately I don't think I could argue with those two players if they were selected for me in these circumstances.
-Pouliot is on my draft radar for my next pick
-Draistl isn't my personal preference. I think he could become a huge benefactor of Mcdavid or be held down the depth chart for quite awhile. It will be interesting to see who Edmonton shifts to wing out of their centers.

I agree that they are reasonable. I would be fine with it

Those picks also seem fair to me.

Thanks for the input. Sarnia's picks are in and the draft continues.

Sorry guys, my dad passed away last week and I forgot about it.
I don't like the picks but am OK with them. From now on I will pick myself.
Cheers.

Sorry to here Sarnia.
I know quite a few picks have been made and we obviously can't reverse the draft. If by some chance you like a player that is on the board better than your current pick/picks we could possibly let you exchange them due to the circumstances. Let us know!

Thanks peeps.
That's a fair offer but I'm good. Would've selected one of the players under Draisaitl probably but shit happens;)

Hi Sarnia
My deepest condolences. I lost my father as well so I know what your going through. I'm very sorry for your loss and hope you are doing ok.
With that said, this world could use more kindness and generousity so I have this proposition for you:
I will trade you C.Mcdavid for your 2 prospects Pouliot and Drasaitl. I obviously wouldn't typically make this trade offer but under the circumstances it is the least I can do. In the unlikely event you say no that is your call, but all you have to do is say yes, post the trade and I will confirm with a reply.
Stay strong and mourn your father for the great life he had.

Thanks again for all the condolences. Kingston, sad to read that you went through the same. I agree with you that this world could use more kindness and generousity and your offer would be impossible to pass on.
However, I would like to keep this competition real and fair. And a trade like the one you proposed is not because there is only one winner. I will keep my two (still great!) prospects and will make a humongous steal in the last round;)
Thanks again for your amazing messages. Although I don't know any of you guys it still is good to read.

Ok man, I respect your decision. If I could respectfully ask, how old was your father and how did he pass?

Pff, that's really young. My father (he was old when I was born) was 72 and diagnosed little over a year ago. Colon Cancer with lots of spreadings in the liver. He had always been vital and thought that him aging was the reason for becoming more tired the last couple of years.

Mississauga will have to re-select for pick #36 - Boone Jenner is not eligible for this draft (103 games played).
