implementing a waiver system. This is done on fantrax and fantrax automatically executes the waiver system.
this is how it works in case you are unfamiliar:
fantrax has a waiver system option which can be used at the discretion of the leagues interest. It has a priority list of all teams in the league. So if the waiver system is put in place , how does fantrax decide which teams get first priority? Well this off season, we would establish the initial priority list based on season standings. Last place gets first priority, so on and so forth. So for example, if we reopen free agency on sept. 1st (which is done in another similar league I'm in ), then before sept 1st everyone sets a priority of players they want. Once the first execution players are done, the priority is automatically kept track. So if every team put a claim in and you didn't, you would have first priority next time around. My recommendation is we set the waiver system to be executed every Thursday and Sunday at 12 pm pst. So you can lay claims or as many claims as you want, and it will be executed every Thursday and Sunday nights.
this is legitimately the fairest system. I'm in another 16 team fantrax league with this exact set up, it's fantastic. What this allows you to do as well, is claim more then 2 people. If you want you can claim 10 people every Thursday or Sunday as long as your within the minor league and main roster peremeters. I will further explain the little nuances of the system as I'm still learning it's capabilities as I speak in my other league lol. But I assure you , not only will it implement fair play on free agents, but it will give you more freedom to claim/drop then just twice a week
Your comments are encouraged, go! Lol
