Updates have been made to the "Minor League Eligibility" section of the rules.
2.2 - Minor League Eligibility
To be considered a prospect and qualify for minor league placement, a player must meet the following requirements:
Skater 100 GP or less 26 years of age or less prior to beginning of the season
Goaltender 50 GP or less 26 years of age or less prior to beginning of the season
In the event that a prospect on a minor league roster surpasses the GP limitations, that team is NOT required to call-up the prospect until the off-season. However, once the prospect is called up to the major league team that player then loses minor league eligibility and can no longer be sent down.
Prospects who are called up must remain on the major league roster for the entire scoring period. Note: Violation of this rule is subject to penalty. Repeat offenders will receive cap hit penalties and eventually banished from the league.
