What the heck Barrie Colts you can't snag Svechnikov on all of us Wing fans! Lol, I didn't think he would be on any none Wing fans radar.
He seems like he has a ton of potential to be a great player. He looked pretty good in prospects camp for a first year player. I am pretty excited about him. We are hoping he can continue to transition into a center.

Sorry Soo! My dream job would be an NHL scout so I do a lot of research on prospects. Svechnikov looks like he could be a really good player for Detroit.

Looks like Sudbury is MIA for his picks.
The LEB proposes Kyle Connor and Nick Ritchie.
Thoughts?

Fair picks, Ritchie is second on my list for the next pick though.

Ok. In order to get the draft moving we will use these players as Sudbury's selections.

all sorts of rookies have been added to teams on fantrax, of which one is high on my list, while the rookie draft hasn't been finished yet.

I see what you mean Sarnia. Just ignore those adds and keep selecting the prospects that are suppose to be available. Based off what i briefly seen on my phone only one team made illegal adds. I will take care of it when I get off work if someone else doesn't get it before then.

I will go through them now. I thought it was clear that prospects couldn't be added via FA but I guess not.

Guelph Storm has a family emergency and asked me to make his pick. I will make his selection when I get home in about two hours or so.

We need to speed this draft up, the season starts in 3 days and there are guys on the prospect draft list that could be in people's starting line-ups. This is taking way too long, over 17 hours since the last pick.
I recommend that we shorten the window to two hours, assign people draft times and if they miss they can come back and pick later, otherwise we have zero chance of finishing before the season starts.

Games start on the 8th so we have a week. I propose we drop the window to 8 hours until Sunday, then 4 hours to finish it off.

Why 8 hours, thats far too much time, that's only 3 picks per day required. I don't think the point is to finish just before the season starts, lets finish it this week-end so we have a few days to trade and set our rosters.
Why don't you set up a poll so people can vote for what they want....if 8 hours is the consensus then I'll live with it but I think it should be two hours. No one is making picks at this point that are critical to their teams future, its just creating the future depth of your squad.

I think 8 hours is fair but I wouldn't be against less. I do kind of like the assigned draft time thing but that might be tough to pull off if say I'm waiting on someone on the west coast to pick and I've been up for hours or vice versa, they pick at 9pm their time and I'm then asleep

In reality, the only prospects that are going to make NHL rosters will probably picked within the next 5 rounds at most. Otherwise, anyone picked will be in juniors, college or KHL and have no effect on your daily rosters.

Well then, put it to a vote, I don't think its a good idea to still be drafting players right up to the start of the season, which will not happen; if we stay at 8 hours we will be drafting prospects after the season starts, which for obvious reasons is not a good idea.
